Harlequin®
Established through the Charles Faram Development Programme, daughter of Godiva™ and granddaughter of Jester®, Harlequin® was first offered commercially in 2019. It bursts with New World aromatics while maintaining a subtle hint of UK terroir.
Harlequin® is delicate and topical in pale beers and shows unique marmalade and candied fruit notes when used with coloured malts.
The Creation of Harlequin Dancer:
The inspiration behind Harlequin Dancer stems from Three Wide Brewing’s deep love for British beers; ‘British styles really hold a special place in my heart because they still focus on supreme drinkability and balance.’
The brewers at Three Wide Brewing explained, that this beer was crafted to showcase Harlequin® hops, with a malt bill designed to complement the hop’s flavour profile.
‘I get toasted bread, citrus and stone fruit out of this beer. In particular, the biscuit malt we used is very aromatic and is almost like drinking a well toasted apricot kolache. Really blends nicely an old world malt profile with a nod to the new wave of slightly subtle fruity British hop character.’ – Joshua
