What’s your favourite beer?

Hmmm changes every week or so, probably Wheelie Pale this year so far.

Favourite Food & Beer pairing?

Curry and IPA, I love curries and hot spicy food.

Favourite beer destination?

Belgium

Favourite pub in the UK?

The Crafty Pint, nice little micro bar 10 mins walk from my house.

What’s the one item in the brewery you couldn’t live without?

The kettle for coffee!

 

Favourite song/album/artist/music to play during a brew day?
Usually have five live on the radio, but if it’s Friday maybe some Jay Kay.

If you weren’t in the brewing industry, what would you be doing?
Probably still getting greasy underneath cars.

Biggest inspiration in brewing?
Yeast! amazing stuff and still so much to learn.

What got you into brewing?
End of season trips to Ghent to watch the six days, the beers became more interesting than the cycling after a while.

 

Favourite beer festival?
The very first Birmingham Beer Bash was good, have a different look on festivals these days as I am most likely working, lol.

Favourite interest/hobby outside of brewing?
Cycling, trying to stage a little come back this year.

What’s the last beer you brewed?
The Sheriff 4.5% abv Italian Grape Ale, our monthly special for April.

Fuggles or Goldings?
Goldings.

What’s next?
We are just in the process of getting our second little bar to open, so lots of work to do before our scheduled opening at the start of May
