Hop Variety Description

Crystal was released for commercial production in 1993. It originates from a seedling selection made at Corvallis in Oregon in 1983 between Hallertau Mittelfrüh and a downy-mildew resistant aroma hop, USDA 21381 M. Crystal is half sister of Mt Hood and Liberty.The fruitiest of the 3 sisters, Crystal has a warm citrus zest edge whilst still retaining the drinkability of European Noble parentage.
