Charles Faram Sponsors the Great Malvern Festival of Stories for Children

Charles Faram is proud to announce its sponsorship of the 2025 Great Malvern Festival of Stories for Children taking place 21-26 October. As a company that values community at its core, we’re thrilled to support an event that brings families, schools, and local organisations together through the power of stories, illustrations, puppets, musicians and theatre.
As a long-standing business with deep hoppy roots as a merchant and with farms in the local area, we’re always looking for meaningful ways to give back. Partnering with a growing community-driven event like this allows us to help create something special and lasting for young minds.
Supporting Community Through Storytelling
We believe storytelling helps build stronger communities. It’s easy to imagine the families who once holidayed as hop pickers, sharing stories with each other and their children while they worked, then gathering in the evenings for food and connection.
We’re lucky that local film makers have documented the retelling of these times. Recent projects have featured hop pickers and growers animatedly retelling the stories and comical moments during those seasons in history.
We also have the Victorian gas-lamps in the area that inspired C.S. Lewis to write the Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. That’s why our sponsorship of the Malvern Storytelling Festival is more than a contribution. Our sponsorship is a throwback to enriching lives through shared in person connections, experience, creativity, and imagination.

Looking Ahead to a Magical 2025 Festival
The six-day Great Malvern Festival of Stories has grown steadily over the last three years with thousands of children attending. The experience is giving every child, regardless of background, the vital chance to connect with inspiring stories and storytellers.
The organisers have promised a programme of ticketed events, free storytelling sessions, art activities and stalls by local authors. We’re excited to see what this year’s chapter brings.
