Bred from Sladek and Northern Brewer, it was commercially released in 1996 from the Hop Research Institute. Premiant is the Czech word for Premium. Premiant offers neutral bittering with classic noble characteristics if used in aroma applications. Suceptible to both Downy and Powdery Mildew.
