COLLABORATIONS

Collaborations between Charles Faram and partner breweries are encouraged, as they create excellent stories, social media, and PR content. However, for a beer to be recognised as an official Charles Faram collaboration, several specific criteria must be met, as outlined below:

TYPES OF COLLABORATION

  1. Recipe Advice/Building – this is where Charles Faram has assisted with the creation of the recipe or provided advice on products used
  2. Brewing – where Charles Faramm attend and take part in the brewing process
  3. Storytelling – where we have provided the story for the brew, for example the sustainability, the hops , or the journey of the hops.

All three types may include the discount or giving away of hops.

COLLABORATIONS ARE NOT:

  1. A customer who has only purchased or is using our hops. If they choose to include our logo then it can be classed as collaboration, but this is not preferred due to Charles Faram having no control over the brew and this may cause negative brand implications (see brand protection)
  2. The giving away or discounting of hops alone, even though hops can be discounted or given away as part of a collaboration brew, one of the top three criteria must be fulfilled.
  3. A beer in which we have had no involvement with.

BRAND PROTECTION

It is important to manage sensitive brand elements associated with Charles Faram, including the naming and branding design of the beer. Any collaboration must align with our brand image, and the Charles Faram marketing department must approve all collaboration artwork  (containing our logo) or any other mention of Charles Faram.

Approval can be requested by contacting our Brand Guardian, Charlie Gorham.
