Bred from a number of varieties including Bor, Fuggle, Northern Brewer, Saaz and Sladek. Released in 2001 from the Hop Research Institute. Agnus is a high alpha European variety, valued for its clean bittering properties.Hop Growers Union of Czechia brewing trials have shown that the hop has a positive effect on beer stability, making it a good choice for lager beer.
