Weyermann® Crop Report 2025

Weyermann® Crop Report 2025

Weyermann® Crop Report 2025 highlights another outstanding year for spring barley. Following a more than successful 2024 harvest, Weyermann® is proud to share excellent results for this year’s crop.

This report draws on direct recordings from Weyermann®, insights from trusted local supply partners, and observations from surrounding regions near their malt houses.

In 2025, approximately 300,000 hectares of spring barley were cultivated across Germany. Weyermann®’s long-standing supply partners once again honoured their pre-contract commitments, growing the agreed-upon malting barley varieties.

Despite early-season challenges, including a spring drought, the crop developed strong roots. A cool May followed by June rainfall supported healthy growth and high-quality yields.

Thomas Kraus-Weyermann, CEO says: “This year’s crop impressively demonstrates how much our long-standing partnerships, and the diligent work of the farmers can achieve – despite challenging conditions, a remarkable yield has been obtained.”
