Ben has worked in International Sales for the best part of the last 10 years and loves the challenge of meeting customer's needs across the world.
Previously heading up a team at a small family-run engineering company, Ben saw the opportunity to join the team at Farams whilst doing a recruitment project. He jumped at the idea of entering into the brewing industry, having previously enjoyed homebrewing and drinking all manner of different beer styles.
Ben enjoys being busy and has been juggling the running of the International department and studying for his General Certificate in Brewing, through the IBD, to improve his knowledge of the brewing process.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, listening to music and podcasts, and enjoying a beer or two in his local pub.

International Head of Sales
Andrew has over 30 years of experience in the brewing industry and manages the hop supply of our international supply chain partners.
Andrew has previously worked as a design engineer then during his time playing rugby, he met someone who had just started a brewery. Andrew persistently asked for a job and was offered one. He then began travelling to different countries with Faram's on selection visits. As business at Charles Faram continued to grow, Andrew was invited to join the team, and he has not looked back ever since.
The opportunity to travel and meet different brewers and try beers from around the world is his favourite part of his role and is a great way for him to connect with the global brewing community.
Andrew's hobbies include rugby, music, gardening and of course, having a beer at the pub. Cheers to that.

The first beer Bartek ever had was in a Czech hospoda, and the second one in a British pub. Since then, there was no turning back from the beer path. His love for beer brought him from Poland to Belgium, where Bartek studied brewing and worked as a head brewer.
For Bartek, besides hops, of course, the most important ingredient in beer is the people and their stories. Bartek enjoys visiting breweries by bike or train the most. His favourite beer depends on where he's drinking it — but most of them will have a hint of Styrian Golding or Fuggle.

If you ask Beth to describe her role, she says, “visiting breweries and trade events to talk to brewers and anyone who will listen to me whilst representing high-quality hops, malt, yeast and everything a brewery needs”. She does like a good chat.
She also loves the day-to-day variety of the role, communicating with people, seeing different breweries, travelling, working with an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and all-around lovely team, and receiving excellent feedback about Charles Faram & Co.
She’s no newcomer to the industry as she started working in the production planning and statistics department at Frederic Robinson Ltd in Stockport in 1995 and worked her way up to contracts manager brewing and packaging.
Beth’s hobbies are bird watching, photography, walking, and baking.
She won’t tell you about her most embarrassing moment, but I’m sure mid-chin wag it can be coaxed out. For now, she just says, “my ex-colleagues know, but what happens in Robinson’s stays in Robinson’s.”

Jon has spent 8 years at Gadds’ (Ramsgate Brewery) where he cut his teeth in the brewing industry and was eventually elevated to Head Brewer.
This experience and his Diploma in Brewing with passes for modules 1 & 2, make him a fantastic, knowledgeable addition to our pool of technical knowledge and expertise.
The story of how he got into the brewing industry is a familiar one. He was loafing around in Spain, looking for a job in East Kent when Eddie Gadd came to his rescue and gave him a part-time cask washing/racking role.
He says that he loves home brewing, travelling, music, photography and of course, pubs.
Jon says that his most embarrassing moment is; “Forgetting to put a key late hop addition into a Gadds’ seasonal beer. I was mortified but Menno from De Molen tried the beer and thought it was excellent, so that soothed things.”

Rich has worked in the brewing industry for over 20 years. He has a passion for cask ale having worked for Adnams, Purity and Marston's.
Looking after customers and building long-term, sustainable relationships are his top priorities.
Rich is a family man and loves nothing more than spending quality time with his partner, two daughters and his deaf Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He also enjoys watching NFL and baseball, as well as cooking on his pellet smoker and collecting art.
In terms of embarrassing moments, Richard says that there isn’t enough room for us to list all of them here. Take it from him when he says that he’s basically a one-man episode of “You’ve Been Framed”. So, we will just stick a Go Pro on him at events then – Marketing Department.

Ruth grew up on the beautiful Suffolk coast, a few miles from the Adnams Brewery in Southworld, but has recently moved to Abergavenny, South Wales.
She got her first job in the beer industry over 15 years ago, starting in telesales and moving into several different roles including trade marketing and running brewery and distillery tours.
Ruth is a qualified Beer Sommelier and Certified Cicerone, has recently completed a TQUK certificate in Environmental Sustainability and is certified as Carbon Literate by the Carbon Literacy Project. She also has several musical qualifications, including a very exciting Grade 2 for Piano Duets.
When Ruth is not exploring new breweries, distilleries and vineyards, she loves wild swimming, going on walks in the beautiful Welsh countryside, reading and working on her cocktail skills. Ruth also loves to travel and enjoys discovering new places, both in the UK and further afield.

Hollie is from Worcester and has 5 years of experience, working in a sales admin role and credit control.
She takes pride in her customer service and likes taking on a challenge and solving problems for customers.
Hollie wanted to join the team at Faram's because she was looking to progress further in her career and wanted to join a company where she could become part of a close-knit team.
So far she is enjoying working with the customers and the fact she is always busy. She is also happy to be working with such a lovely team! (We do love a bit of flattery here at Faram's)
No embarrassing industry moments so far, but we hope events will start happening again soon so there's plenty of time yet!
In her spare time, Hollie loves going for long walks and being outdoors with friends and family.

Molly is from Worcester and has previous experience working in Retail and Property Management.
She enjoys using her customer service skills to provide sales support and help breweries by taking orders and answering any queries that may come in.
Molly joined the team at Faram's as the role was recommended to her when she fancied a change of scene. She enjoys drinking beer so thought the role was a perfect fit!
Molly only started with us very recently, but so far has been enjoying learning more about all the hops we stock and the brewing industry as a whole by speaking to our customers.
Outside of work, Molly loves nothing more than watching Worcester Warriors games, musical theatre, going on dog walks and maybe a few trips to the pub.
As Molly hasn't been at Faram's long there hasn't been a chance for any embarrassing moments yet!

Dan is from Studley and has lots of experience working in the hospitality industry. He also has a degree in Modern history.
His main area of expertise is working in customer-facing roles where he gets to have lots of experience dealing with the general public.
He got into this role because he fancied a change of scene and thought that working with hops sounded fun (you’re not wrong there Dan!)
Dan hasn’t been in the role for very long, but so far he’s enjoying the challenges involved day to day and that he gets to speak to lots of different people and help them out with their problems.
His hobbies include reading, cooking and eating – sounds good to us!

Mark describes his role as, advice on all things brewing and hop growing, specialising in sales, contracts and service.
Originally from a high street background with Sony (all things geeky...and he loves a good turntable), he was one of the youngest store managers at 23. The store won a national competition which took him to the world cup in 2010…the amazing game was England and Algeria!
Mark then ran a pub for 2 years and won a new licensee of the year which included a trip to Carlsberg in Copenhagen. He then got a bit too old and couldn’t handle the hours, so he started with Charles Faram in the warehouse before moving across into sales.
With his background in customer service, he hopes to bring a further element to the team to compliment the excellent technical support and service that we have.
The best thing about his job is working in a varied and great industry.
Mark has a swimming badge level 3 to add to his accomplishments and lists his hobbies as football, music and movies. He also said that he still plays on a PS4, but the editor thought that we should leave that out.
His most embarrassing moment, considering that he works in the brewing industry is that he is, “an absolute lightweight.”
